Vanessa Paradis: Being apart is good for Johnny Depp and me
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, Vanessa Paradis states of her 12-year relationship with Johnny Depp.
The 37-year-old French actress and singer says: ‘The fact that we’re not together every day plays a big part in keeping our relationship stable.
And then we also have a lot of respect and admiration for each other.
‘We understand that if we want our relationship to continue, we must give each other space, allow each other to go off on our own and trust each other.’
But she adds that every day with her 47-year-old partner ‘sums up ‘romantic’.
Paradis tells Marie Claire magazine: ‘I think he is magnificent. Truly magnificent.’

Vanessa Paradis ha dichiarato alla rivista “Marie Claire” che la chiave del suo rapporto con Johnny è l’assenza. “Il fatto di non vederci tutti i giorni gioca un ruolo importante nel mantenere la nostra relazione stabile. Inoltre nutriamo rispetto l’uno per l’altra e ci ammiriamo a vicenda. Sappiamo che, se vogliamo che la nostra storia continui, dobbiamo darci spazio reciproco, permettere all’altro di stare per conto proprio e fidarsi l’uno dell’altra”.
Ma la cantante trentasettenne – da dodici anni assieme a Johnny- ha aggiunto che, ogni giorno, il suo uomo fa qualcosa di “romantico”.
“Penso che sia un uomo magnifico, davvero magnifico.” ha detto Vanessa a Marie Claire.
